Intro story of a servant-hearted hotel clerk
We live in a proud and egotistical driven generation
Some people can strut sitting down they are so proud of themselves
The Bible says the end times will be like this in 2 Timothy 3:2, For men will be lovers of themselves, lovers of money, boasters, proud, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy, etc
Pride is one of the seven abominations that the Lord hates, Proverbs 6:16-17, These six things the Lord hates, Yes, seven are an abomination to Him: A proud look
READ 1 PETER 5:6;
IT IS A COMMAND, HUMBLE YOURSELF OR BE HUMBLED
The Disciples never understood this; because they were too busy thinking of themselves.
Matthew 19:27; Luke 22:24 (right after the Lord’s Supper)
We are always worried about what everyone else thinks
Reputation is what others think about you; Character is what God knows about you- Dr.R
